Mr. Barth Jr. served on the Harper County Conservation District Board from 1974-2005 and was an avid supporter of the Land Judging Contest and Resource Awareness Scholarships for Teachers. Mr. Barth Jr. was known in his community for sponsoring teachers and students out of his own pocket to ensure everyone had an opportunity to attend conservation events. Giving back to the Harper County community is exactly what Mr. Barth Jr. dedicated much of his life towards and this scholarship will continue to do just that.
